7 Offline marketing lessons from the online marketing planet
Because online business marketers never get to meet their client, you would think that they have a huge challenge when trying to sell their products.
Indeed they do have a real challenge so how do they overcome these difficulties, and ensure continuous business growth? Of course I am only talking about the successful online marketers.
Lesson # 1 . They thoroughly research the market before they create or choose the product they will sell. Using the many tools available on Google, they first decide whether enough people are looking for this kind of product, and how much competition there is.
Lesson #2. They Survey the market BEFORE creating the product, mostly by using www.surveymonkey.com.
Lesson #3. They create or choose the product according to what the market needs and WANTS.
Lesson#4 They create benefit focused and customer focused copy for their ads, email campaigns , and websites so that their prospects can see all along what’s in it for them. And by the way they are not obsessed by how good their ads look.
Lesson#5 They get out of their way to add value on top of the core product and make their offer irresistible to their market no matter what.
Lesson#6 They use all the possible tools to find out at which point their prospect clicked on the link to buy their product. The link can be repeated up to 5 times in the email or letter, so knowing which link created the most clicks would indicate which words were most effective at triggering a reaction.
Lesson#7 Knowing full well that only 5% of prospects are ready to buy their product at the time, they follow up relentlessly and continue to promote until the prospects are ready.
Now I wonder, are there any lessons in this that could be used by offline businesses?
